Do I want an electric or a gas cart?
Golf carts are available in gas and electric models. For most applications,
either will perform. Many people prefer electric carts because they
are quieter and require comparatively less maintenance. But they are
dependent on an electrical source for recharging – and for that
reason, other people prefer gas carts.
Both types of carts have about 1000 pounds hauling capacity and will
perform for 15-20 years (depending on the quality of maintenance).
Gas carts use a 9 horsepower motor and electric carts have 2.5 – 3.5
horsepower.
A gas cart tank holds 6 gallons and will go about 150 miles per tank.
Electric carts will give 90-20 minutes of continuous, non-stop running
time between charges.
Both gas and electric carts will climb a 50% grade. Gas carts will
climb hills faster than electric. Turning radius is 17-20 feet and
the maximum speed is 12-18 MPH on level ground and 6-12 MPH going up
hills.
How does a golf cart compare to an ATV?
Golf carts are more stable, and will not tip as easily as an ATV. Both
the maintenance and the initial investment into a cart is far less
than an ATV.
What is the width, height, wheel base, weight and length of a golf
cart?
Both EZ GO and Yamaha gas carts are 48” wide. The EZ GO is 448.6” to
the top of the steering wheel (unlifted) and the Yamaha is 46” to
the top of the steering wheel (unlifted). The EZ GO wheel base is 65.5” and
the Yamaha is 64.5”. EZ GO and Yamaha gas carts are @650 pounds
and the electric carts are 950 pounds. Both makes (two-passenger style)
are 93” long.
What models are available?
We offer reconditioned and reconditioned/customized Yamaha, EZ GO,
and Club Car carts.
What is the difference between Yamaha and EZ GO carts?
The body styles differ (see photo gallery). Also, the engines differ
in that the Yamaha is a single cylinder engine and has a heavy duty
coil over hydraulic shocks while the EZ GO features a twin cylinder
engine and has leaf spring front and rear suspensions.
What years are your carts?
Generally, two to five years old. We hand pick our pre-owned carts
from reputable brokers and our high quality standards guarantee that
you will receive one of the finest pre-owned carts available.
How do you recondition carts?
We replace worn parts, check the engine and make necessary adjustments.
We check and replace all belts, filters, oils and spark plugs and paint
the body. We check the batteries in electric carts and install new
batteries if necessary.
Can I choose the color for my cart? Do you offer customer colors?
Of course! We offer a wide range of professional paint colors, applied
by professionals! Let us know what your favorite automobile make, model
and color is, or give us a picture of your race car, trailer, or boat
and let us create an amazing, quality cart for you!
Tell me about your fold-down rear seat.
The fold-down rear seat (affectionately known as a flip-flop) is
upholstered to match the front seat of your cart. In the fold-down
position, the
seat provides you with carrying space for coolers, mulch, tools – whatever
you need. In its “up” position, the seat affords additional
space for two more passengers.
What other accessories do your offer?
We carry a full line of custom steering wheels, stainless steel steering
column covers, roofs, fold down windshields, horns, lighting packages,
turn signals, side view mirrors, custom wheels and tires, diamond
plate panels – even radios or CD/cassette players. Please see our accessories

looking for, please ask and we will get it for you!
What does a lift kit do?
A lift kit is designed to “lift” a cart 8 inches higher
in order to make the ride more comfortable and also two accommodate
variable terrain. We use Jake’s life kits – acknowledged
as the best in the business.

What is the best way to clean my cart?
Wash your cart with a professional auto wash liquid and a soft, clean
sponge. Do not use dishwashing detergent, laundry soaps, or other

time to time
is a good idea, but don’t use a wax containing abrasive compounds.

cloth of any type.

a fleet of well-running, utilitarian carts for rental purposes.
Can I tow a trailer behind my cart?
Yes. A golf cart will easily handle a utility cart. In fact, you can
even install a snowplow on the front of your cart to take care of both
your driveway and sidewalk in the wintertime!
What is an NEV?
An NEV (Neighborhood Electric Vehicle) is an electric vehicle that
can go over 20 MPH but not more than 25 MPH. NEVs must also meet
Federal Safety Regulations such as seat belts, lights, exterior mirror,
etc.
They are street legal in areas where the speed limit is 35 MPH or
less. We are equipped to convert golf carts into NEVs, which qualify
for
a tax credit both federally and in Maryland. Please check your own
state’s regulations for specific details.
